• Payment information — Credit card details and billing address, processed securely through Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Reservation details — Dates, site preferences, party size, vehicle information, and add-on selections.
• Communications — Messages you send through the platform, including SMS threads with park operators and AI concierge interactions.
• Email signup — Email address provided through the pre-launch notification form.

Information collected automatically:

• Device and usage data — Browser type, operating system, IP address, pages visited, and interaction patterns.
• Cookies and analytics — We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use client-side tracking cookies and does not collect personal data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

• Process and manage campground reservations
• Send transactional SMS and email notifications related to your reservations (confirmations, reminders, payment updates, access codes)
• Facilitate two-way messaging between guests and park operators
• Process payments and manage billing
• Provide AI-assisted guest services (concierge, booking assistance)
• Improve the platform and develop new features
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests

3. SMS and Text Messaging

When you provide your mobile phone number during the reservation process or through seasonal contract enrollment, you consent to receiving transactional SMS messages from Starlight Reservations. These messages are strictly related to your reservations and interactions with campground properties.

Types of messages you may receive:

• Reservation confirmations and reminders
• Payment and billing notifications
• Check-in and check-out communications
• Site access credentials
• Responses from park operators and AI concierge
• Waitlist notifications
• Seasonal contract updates

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your reservation activity and interactions with park properties. You will not receive marketing or promotional text messages.

Opt-out: You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and no further SMS will be sent. You may opt back in at any time by replying START.

Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.

We do not share your mobile phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only in these circumstances:

• With campground operators — When you make a reservation, the park operator receives your name, contact information, vehicle details, and reservation specifics necessary to serve your stay.
• With service providers — We use Stripe for payment processing, Twilio for SMS delivery, and cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Cloudflare) for hosting. These providers process data only on our behalf and under contractual obligations to protect it.
• As required by law — We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third-party advertisers.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Reservation records and financial data are retained as required by applicable law and for audit purposes. You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure payment processing through Stripe, access controls, and multi-factor authentication for operator accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Opt out of SMS communications (reply STOP to any message)
