Starlight Reservations Systems LLC ("Starlight Reservations") sends transactional SMS messages to guests of campgrounds and RV parks that use our reservation management platform. This page describes how we collect consent, what messages we send, and how to opt out.
We never send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages via SMS.
All messages are transactional and directly related to your reservation or interaction with a campground property.
You consent to receive SMS messages from Starlight Reservations in one of the following ways. In every case, consent is collected at the point where you voluntarily provide your phone number and affirmatively agree to receive messages.
When a guest books a campground stay through the Starlight Reservations platform, the checkout form collects a phone number and presents a clear consent checkbox before payment is submitted.

Used for reservation confirmations and check-in instructions.
The SMS consent checkbox is presented before payment. Guests must affirmatively check the box to receive text messages. Consent is not pre-checked and is not required to complete a reservation.
When a guest creates a Starlight Reservations traveler account and provides a phone number, they are presented with a consent checkbox to opt in to service-related SMS messages.

Phone number is optional during registration. SMS consent is collected only when a phone number is provided, via a separate opt-in checkbox.
Long-term guests who enter seasonal contracts are presented with an SMS consent checkbox when a campground operator activates their contract. The checkbox appears only when the guest's profile includes a phone number.

SMS consent is optional. The guest will still receive notifications via email and in-app if this is not checked.
SMS consent is collected during contract activation when the guest has a phone number on file. The checkbox is not pre-checked and is not required to activate the contract.
In all cases: SMS consent is optional and is never a condition of purchase or service. Guests who do not opt in will receive notifications via email and in-app only. Consent is recorded with a timestamp and can be withdrawn at any time by replying STOP.
All SMS messages are transactional. They are directly related to your reservation, account, or interaction with a campground property. Examples include:

Message frequency varies based on your reservation activity and interactions with campground properties. A typical guest stay generates 3-8 messages (confirmation, check-in instructions, activity reminders, checkout). You will not receive messages outside of active reservation periods unless you initiate a conversation with a park operator.
You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time using the following keywords:

Replying STOP to any message immediately ends all SMS communication. The opt-out is processed automatically.
Replying START to any previously received number re-subscribes you to transactional messages.
Replying HELP returns a summary of the SMS program with contact information.
Opting out of SMS does not affect your reservation or account. You will continue to receive notifications through the app and email.
Message and data rates may apply. Starlight Reservations does not charge for SMS messages, but your wireless carrier may apply standard messaging rates. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.
SMS messaging is available on all major U.S. and Canadian carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Rogers, Bell, Telus, and many regional carriers. Service availability may vary by carrier and location.
Phone numbers collected for SMS messaging are used solely for delivering transactional messages related to your reservations and campground interactions. We do not share, sell, or rent your phone number to third parties for their marketing purposes.
Phone numbers are stored securely and are subject to the same data protection measures described in our Privacy Policy.
